101 uses for Washing Tablet Net Bags (OK - 31 uses!)
Brilliant little freebies!!! No, they don't come in
every box of washing powder any more, but it is likely that you will
be able to find enough amongst your unit, to use for some, or all
of the following ideas contributed by members of GuidingUK email list.

§ use wool to sew through the holes and then used
them to bring subs each week. The holes are big enough that you
can do it without using needles, or you can use darning needles.

§ keep wrapped sweets in them securely!

§ use to collect subs, hold subs book and money
-
§ to sort pencils, pens, felt tips
-
§ string bag - pull the end from the middle
-
§ CD holder - yes they will fit - just!
-
§ to hold health form (one form to be held at 'first
aid' station, other to be with girl)

§ filling with grease, seeds and leftovers for hanging
winter bird cake

§ holding families of pipecleaner teddy bears with
other oddments
-
§ puppets for little hands
-
§ give the girls a table of scraps and basic craft
tools (scissors, paper and glue) and telling them e.g. to come up
with a puppet each for patrol puppet shows etc (good way of reducing
stock on things that you had to buy whole packets of when your unit
doesn't add up to exact whole packets, or those things you kept
just in case you could use for a craft but never came up with a
craft for)

§ For each child that has to have an inhaler or
other medication that must be kept with them they are given a soap
tablet bag. The bag has the medication put into it and then pinned
with a large safety pin on the inside of a pocket or looped onto
their belt. This way I can guarantee that the girls don't lose their
inhalers while running about, break them or muddle them up with
someone elses!

§ Especially at events where there are lots of girls
you don't know, use nets to hold girls name and medical details
on a piece of card so that in an emergency, the nearest first aider
knows what is going on, treatment needed etc

§ To hold mini bottles of washing up liquid which
can then be hung up
