Oatmeal Sausages.....
Or how to make a very little go a long way!

Method
1. Fry the onion in a little fat or oil until lightly browned.
2. Work in the oatmeal, then gradually add the water
and bring to the boil, stirring all the time. Cook for 10-15 minutes
- make sure it doesn't burn!
3. Add the seasoning and the sausagemeat or bacon and mix thoroughly.
4. Spread mixture on a plate and leave until cool enough to handle.
5. Divide into sausage-sized portions and roll between hands to form
sausage shapes or rissoles (flat patties.)
6. Coat with breadcrumbs and fry in a little hot fat (or grill if
you have the facilities.)
