GUIDING

If I can lend a helping hand
Whenever there is need,
And be a friend to everyone
No matter what their creed,
If I can laugh and sing and wear
A smile upon my face,
And do my very best to make
The world a better place.

If I can find a dwelling place,
In God's great out-of-doors,
With blue sky for my ceiling
And green grass for my floors,
With nature all around me
And companions by my side,
Where friendship has a meaning
And peace and love abide.

If I can lead a noble life
And keep my ideas high,
And live in steadfast faith in God,
And look up to the sky
Where I can find the strength I need
To help in my deciding
To do what I believe is right...
Then this, to me, is Guiding.
