The Culture Game

You print out the sets of rules and give a different copy to each of the teams : they must look at it and memorize it. They then play the game (it helps to have printed score sheets) and when you have ascertained that everyone has finished you then direct them to move around. You can do this as many times as you like or until you can see that they are really frustrated!! Afterwards you need to talk about how it felt to not understand anything and how in different countries they follow different rules and you have to follow them too.

 

THE BIGGEST RULE IS :
YOU MUST NOT TALK

On your tables choose a scorer who will score for the first round. After that it will be the person to the left of the winner.
o You need to go round the group, each person throwing the pair of dice in turn, and totaling the score for each person. You need to repeat this until everyone has thrown twice. The scorer records the scores for each player on the score sheet.
o The Rules for the Scoring are :-
o Add the points up on the dice, the person with the highest score wins, the person with the lowest score is the loser.
o When the scores have been totaled decide the winner and loser. The whistle will blow and the winner will move clockwise, the loser anti clockwise to the next groups. Where the game will be played again
o If you have a draw then you need to throw again according to the rest of the rules.
