Our Chalet
Our Chalet is the Guides' World centre in Switzerland
and is the overseas Centre most frequently visited by Guides
from the UK.
It is situated just outside the little town of Adelboden in
the Bernese Oberland, perched high on the side of the valley
and commanding spectacular views across the town to the mountains
beyond.
Our Chalet has its own website - www.ourchalet.ch
- with everything you need to know if you want to stay there
or just pay them a visit, but one or two things need to be noted
first :
- You need to book in advance to make a day visit Our
Chalet - it's no good just turning up.
- All visitors to Our Chalet traditionally sing The
Chalet Song while they're there (words below) so you
might want to practice in advance!
- It is also traditional to take them a small gift representative
of your home town/region/country.
