· GIC = Captain
· QM/Caterer = Lieutenant / QM
· First Aider = Medical Officer (MO)
· Visiting Guiders = Colonel & Major
· Young Leaders = Sergeants
· Patrol Leaders = Corporal
· Patrol Seconds = Lance Corporal
· Guides = Privates

Insignia
· Name badges = ‘Dog Tags’ - wooden offcuts approx 1” x 2”, sprayed silver, name written on and cord according to patrol colour.
· Points for camp challenges = ‘medals’ – striped ribbon with buttons sewn on worn on a safety pin.
· Points for Patrol & Tent competitions = gold & silver ‘coins’ (bought on a length by the metre from haberdasherers) pinned to a laminated picture of the regimental badge or picture of barracks.

Duties
· Health = Medical Corps
· Cooks = Catering Corps
· Wood = Logistics
· Leaders = Officers

Activities
· Tie dying scarves in khaki green
· ‘camouflaging’ rucksacks – the £1 bags from Primark with fabric paints (make sure you get the ones that don’t need ironing to set)
· Decorating ‘Tin boxes’ – silver cardboard boxes decorated with stickers & glitter glue.
· Army Manoeuvres Wide Game (click here)
· ‘Drill’ - sports
· Assault Course
· CD night trail (use torches to illuminate CDs suspended on string to mark the trail.)
